Wide Open is proud to present this all new work by AaronMarie Nepoose. Aaron is an emerging indiginous playwright working with Wide Open in their TYA playwright mentorship program that aims to introduce writers to the joys of puppetry and theatre for young audiences while creating high caliber shows for families. Piyisiw Iskwew is based on a traditional Cree story and features some Cree language in Y dialect.

Reviews from A Little Mermaid (2019 tour)
“The children were very engaged in the entire performance. The music, sound effects and shadow puppets really held their attention. We would defiantly book them again!”

“All the grades loved this [show]. The shadow puppets were a big hit. Content was really good for all grades – we also had grade 8 students there all the way down to Kindergarten.”
